As of late I've been doing some reading. I've been reading things that displease me. Things that I find disturbing. Whatever the case, I felt it necessary to write this. This is my own personal story. Meaning your opinions and ideas may not be welcomed. Lets start with...
My Military Service:
I served in the United States Marine Corps. Yes there it the joke that the Marines removed our brains and put them in a jar later to be reissued, but never reissued. But I remember my training like it happened last week. I distinctly remember my Heavy telling us to take some initiative. I remember being told not to be a mindless idiot. While boot camp was good for making Marines, when It was done, I was still and individual.
So life was good in the old USMC. I was a sinner. A religious one but a sinner none the less. By the time I got to Camp Pendleton, CA,my life took a turn for the worse. I did things I said I never would. These "sins" made me miserable. My life was a total mess. I fell into a state of depression. I was supposed to be happy! I was not. This was all due in whole to this burden of sin I had racked up and I KNEW IT!!!
Something wonderful happened. Someone stole some of my clothes out of the laundry room. This angered me. So I started sitting in the laundry room when my clothes needed cleaning. It was one of the times that some guys invited me out to their church. I turned them down. They persisted. In my mind, I thought don't they get it! I said I have a church!! (I hadn't been there in a few months, but I did have one.) Then while I was thinking on this God spoke to my heart and said, "You might as well go, you're not going to your church any way". So I relented and agreed to come.
My First Service In A New Testament Christian Church:
I walked in and sat down. I mean mugged everyone that looked my way. Everybody wanted to smile and know my name. I do not know why this bothered me so much. They were only being nice. (I know love when I see it! This was LOVE!! They made me feel welcome. It is this same love that keeps me a member today.) Then the preacher got up to preach. I thought to myself, why is this white man trying to preach like he's black. Then I began to have other thoughts. Thoughts that I voiced to NO ONE. Even as I thought these things, the preacher would say what I'm thinking, word for word. I distinctly remember this happening two or three times. I immediately wanted to tell the guy that brought me out, "You told the Pastor all about me"!?! But I realized that this man was preaching my thoughts. I knew then that God had my number. I'll never forget that service, even though I have no idea what was preached.
At work I began to think about changing my life. I knew I needed to change. I came to Camp Pendleton thinking I could escape the life I lived in Okinawa, Japan. Only to realize I didn't need to change location. I needed to change me. I found this change in church as I gave my life back to God. The man that prayed with me told me that God laid this upon his heart. I need to move into the serviceman's home. Shortly there after I did.
The Serviceman's Home:
the serviceman's home was a sweet, spiritual refuge. My first night there, my sleep could only be described as Godly. It was like God literally tucked me in. I believe this was the Holy Ghost's way of confirming to me that this was the right place. This was where I needed to be. After living in the serviceman's home for a while and participating in spiritual activities, the barracks changed to me. As a Marine, I was required to maintain a room in the barracks. So I was bouncing back and forth. But when I went to the barracks, I felt like there was a force there. like an invisible shroud over the whole area. It was in the barracks that I experienced that temptation to smoke. To go get with the ladies. To do drugs and get wasted out of my mind. There were things that went on in the barracks that would make you blush. Shameful, depraved, sinful, and morally bankrupt were many activities there. Things that even to this day, I cannot believe that this is going on here.
The serviceman's home was not so. We were Marines, but we were respectful. We studied the word of God to learn what God required. We were able to live life as a Christian without the constant bombardment by the enemy of our souls to live in sin. We learned that you can joke and have fun without being vulgar and intoxicated. But most importantly God was there. I remember the exciting church services. I remember the Holy Ghost inspired messages. I remember seeing people's life change for the better. God truly is good! I am blesses to have led to my church and I am happy to be apart! *from my drafts circa April 16th, 2010.
Just a small idea of what is going on inside my head...aside from the misfiring neurons.

Life Goes On
Okay, where do I start?
It's been 13 years since I wrote on this blog. So many things both positive and negative have happened. To be honest I don't want to share anything negative on this blog so I will keep those things to myself. I DO want to share the positive things I've experienced. I may share some struggles I go through but I'll try to keep that to a dull roar.
...and yes, I know I should not share such personal things about myself online so just know that if I share it I either don't mind you knowing it or it's of no major significance to me to share. Cool? Cool.
Lets start with the events of July 31st 2026. I was at work driving the Waterfront Shuttle in Seattle during the Fifa World Cup series of games. I am still not sold on soccer. YES, lady from Italy with your large Italian family in tow, I said "SOCCER". In YOUR country (who, lets not forget, sided with the Nazis of all people) it's called "futbol". In MY country, The United States of America, we call it soccer! Why? because we already have a sport called "football" & it would be dumb to have two sports franchises both called football. So in order to distinguish the two we gave the two different sports two different names. Why is this difficult for you to grasp?! {SIGH}
My apologies. I kind of went off on a little tangent. Back to the events of July 31st, 2026, I was transporting my riders to the Fifa game soon to take place at [REDACTED] Field when I recieved a phone call from my doctor. It was a call I was expecting but not the information I wanted to hear. I had been diagnosed with prostate cancer.
I'm not sure what the doctor expected me to say but I replied, okay. I really didn't know what to do. As a Christian had it been someone else I would have immedeately started praying for them as I have done many times before & that with confidence, faith, & pleading on their behalf! ...but now it was me recieving the news. It was me in need of prayer. What do I do?
I did pray and ask God to heal me. I took the reccomended steps of diet change to heart various and sundry other things that I should try like black seed bitters, et cereta, et cetera, But the first thing I did was what the word of God instructs us to do. I messaged my Pastor and told him my diagnoses & in the Spirit of James chapter 5:14-15, "14 Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord: 15 And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him."
I then went on trying not to think abiout it too much. So naturally it became my all consuming thought processes. I did spiral a little but then I stopped myself. I also joined a Reddit group that is full of people in the same or simmilar situation but I haven't been back to talk with them much because...depressing. Then I began to think of dying & realized I have wanted to go for a long time now. From the very day I got saved, I wanted Jesus to take me out of here. I hate it here! I tire of being on this planet. I want to be in Heaven with my Lord & Saviour.
Then my thought switched to am I being a good steward of the Lord? I feel like I should be or should have done something more for God seeing as how He left me here to be an example of the believer. Then the enemy of my soul stepped in and tried to wipe me out, he is still trying. Me being hard headed as I tend to be I'm not folding for him and his antics. Jesus Christ is my Lord and Saviour. When I prayed and asked to be saved HE was the one who answered!! Not any of those other gods that people claim 'are gods too'. Nah, they are demonic destractions! ONLY JESUS CHRIST CAN SAVE US. HE SAVED ME, FORGAVE ME OF MY SINS & TURNED MY LIFE RIGHT AROUND LEADING ME IN PATHS OF RIGHTEOUSNESS!! There is salvation in no other! He has brought me a long, LONG way and I believe HE will carry me home to be with HIM when the time comes whether that is sooner or later. It is my ferverent prayer that I will be found worthy to enter into HIS Kingdom, HIS glory!
So...I have removed the distractions. I am setting my time aside to pray and read my bible. I am focusing my life in a direction that is one that resembles a completly healthy person planning to serve his Lord until he is at least 87 years old.
Jesus, I have not been the perfect servant but I'll keep living for YOU, believing in YOU, seeking YOU, & looking to YOU for however long I have left on this earth. Just like my mother sang in her hospital bed as my sister & I sat with her & the Holy Spirit came down so thick in the hospital room that I had to stop what I was doing & stare at her, Jesus...walk with me:https://youtu.be/BWsXJl96tBw
